The Christian Chabenet Bridge

It is in this commune that you will find the Covered Wooden Bridge, a living testimony to traditional architecture, absolutely unique in France and listed as a historic monument. This peaceful village, located on the banks of the Creuse River, invites you to stroll and discover its natural landscapes. The walks offer magnificent views and moments of relaxation by the water, particularly at the picnic area where you can eat in front of the Château du Broutet (currently the town hall).

Going down towards the south of the Vallée de la Creuse, you will pass by le MenouxIts seemingly ordinary church will amaze you as soon as you walk through the door. Entirely decorated with frescoes by Bolivian artist Jorge Carrasco, this church immerses you in an ocean of color. The artist's studio is located a few meters away and is open to visitors.

How to come to the Vallée de la Creuse and not go to Lake Éguzon? The largest lake in the Centre Val de Loire region, it is a true haven of peace for outdoor enthusiasts. This exceptional site offers a variety of water activities, such as paddleboarding, water skiing, sailing, etc. Surrounded by forests, the lake is also an ideal place for hiking. In the village, visit the Museum of Vallée de la Creuse, an excellent starting point for discovering life berrichonne.
