Ceaulmont-les-Granges
The commune of Ceaulmont is located on a high rock overlooking the banks of the Creuse River. It is from this high position that Ceaulmont owes its name. The population is scattered across numerous localities (La Prune, Les Granges, La Châtaigne, Villarnoux, Chenet, etc.).

1 – Maurice Rollinat : Maurice Rollinat (1846-1903), poet and musician, stayed here in the family home, in the hamlet of Bel-air near Buret. He drew his inspiration from the surrounding countryside. A contemporary of the artists who celebrated the "Valley of Painters," his name is now associated with that of Claude Monet to designate the exhibition space created in Fresselines.
2 – The Dolmen of Pierre à la Marte : It stands on the edge of the plateau overlooking the Ris stream. The capstone (3 x 1,60 m) is now supported by only a single granite pillar. Excavations carried out carelessly in 1842 destabilized and damaged the monument during the discovery of flint daggers and bones.
3 – The Château de la Prune au Pot: This feudal castle owes its name to the Pot family who owned it until 1484. It is said to have hosted Henry IV during the Wars of Religion and the Siege of Argenton in 1589. From its origins at the beginning of the 12th century, the castle today retains the Square Tower and the Fountain Tower as well as the curtain walls and the moat.
4 – Saint-Saturnin Church : This 13th-century parish church is dedicated to Saint Saturnin, the first martyred bishop of Toulouse. The building retains a special charm with its slender bell tower covered in chestnut shingles, its portal resting on sculpted capitals, and its old baptismal font. Just a few meters to the right of the church, follow the small path. At the end, a breathtaking view awaits, overlooking the Priory of Le Pin and the Creuse River.
